Choosing A Right Fan For An Elegant Look?

Every house in every corner of this world uses ceiling fans. Ceiling fans are essential for reinventing or designing your interior, but we often ignore them. Ceiling fans happen to be more or less neglected in interior design. Now, this scenario has vanished. Today home decor is much more than wall paints, furniture, wallpapers. It is a journey towards making your home a bit more complete, and modern ceiling fans are finding their place back.
Shopping for a fan has more options than an ordinary three-bladed fan. From exclusive hand-crafted designs to modular eight-blade fans to intimidating wooden finish blades, ceiling fans have traveled a journey of a complete makeover. These days designer ceiling fans are essentials with every aesthetic interior. Having many options, it becomes crucial to
choose the right ceiling fan that can add liveliness to your space. With some of these factors, you can select the best fit:

Right Fan Vane

It is imperative to consider the size of your space in which you will hang your fan with the ceiling as you will want one that has enough capability to cool the space. To be accurate with the approximations, you can use a measuring tape or a meter stick to calculate the room dimensions and accordingly choose the blade size making enough sweep.
According to some guidelines for a room size up to 75 sq. ft. the ideal fan size should be 29 inches to 36 inches. Medium-sized rooms up to 175 sq. ft. should have 42 inches to 48 inches sized fans. Rooms size with up to 350 sq. ft. should have fans of 52 inches to 56 inches. Additionally, rooms sized with more than 350 sq. ft. of the area should have a fan size of 60 inches or more.

Hanging Height of the Fan

Ideally, the down rod length is 3 inches to 6 inches, but people can purchase the longer length ones. Generally, we can mount a fan upto 8 ft to 11 ft off the floor. According to some guidelines by national building codes, blades of any type require to be at least 7 ft from the floor.
Hugger or low-profile fans can be mounted directly on the ceilings and are considered the safest, with the best option for the height of ceiling less than 8 ft.
Hugger ceiling fans, also known as flush mount or low-profile ceiling fans, offer a solution because they are installed flush against the ceiling without using the down rod.
Higher mounted ceilings with a height of 15 ft or more consider fans specially designed for that height. For tall ceilings, manufacturers make tall and sturdy fans. In the case of a sloped roof, fans need to be installed using a sloped-ceiling adaptor, also known as an angle amount. We can use a method to find the height of the down rod: ceiling height minus the ceiling fan's height, subtracting the desired hanging height (usually 8 feet). Let's say if the ceiling is 10 ft in height and the ceiling fan is 12 inches in height, you will need a 1-foot down rod to mount the ceiling fan 8 feet above the floor.

Choose amongst the best quality

The material you choose for your ceiling will make a lot of difference. Today ceiling fans are made from various materials like steel, plastic, wood, and even glass-filled ABS that impart extra strength to the blades, making them bend-proof, rust-proof, attracting less dust, and easy to clean. Let’s dive our sight of choosing fans from finishing. There are many options, including solid wood, laminated veneers, stone finish, metallic, electroplated, rustic, PU (polyurethane) finish, and whatnot. You name one design; there are plenty of options from which you can choose the finish and color blending with your interior. If you are installing the fan in a moisture-prone area like bathrooms or if you happen to live in a coastal area, always opt for ABS blades with a rust-proof finish. If you like to experiment more often with your interior décor, you can go for fan blades with a different finish on both sides.

Efficiency in energy

In today’s world, energy costs are inclining, and smart consumers these days seek ways to improve energy efficiency to save a bit extra. If you want to beat the heat but keep the utility bills in check, opt for Anemos range of fans that not promises you to give a good feel but work towards energy efficiency because consumers cannot replace fans every alternate year.

Delivery of Air

Air Delivery to be measured in cubic per feet per minute, or CFM, commonly understood as the amount of airflow or air delivery a fan can produce per minute. When speaking about ventilation, heating, and cooling, CFM is a very known form of measurement.
